Abbas Abad Tourism and Recreational Complex

Abas Abad hill is located at the end of Mahdieh Street and adjacent to Gha'em square. The adjacency of the hill 10 Hamedan has made its location prominent. For example whenever a ruler changed, people beat the drums alternatively, hence it was called "Naghareh Khaneh"; a place in which drums have been beaten. In addition. the remains of the old power production installations have been exposed to exhibition publicly, ill the northwest side of the hill.

Based on geographical, natural, and tourism potentials of the hill, recreational, accommodative and domicile establishments have been prepared and it was changed to a recreational and tourism complex. For example, a stylish restaurant has been built in the middle of the pool on the hill. A sight of Hamedan on one side and natural  landscape  of Abbas Abad valley on the other side can be seen. There is a  graceful fabricated waterfall in the southeastern side of the complex. There are also a mosque, an automobile parkinglot, a skate course, foods and nuts shops.

Meanwhile two roads, one from the beginning of the Eram Boulvard and the other from the beginning of Ganjnamch make it possible to reach on the hill. In addition one can walk along the lanes between gardens in order to arrive on the top of the hill or use the 1200 meters teleseiage from the south of Eram boulevard to enjoy the Hamedan green gardens, landscapes and its mild climate. Athletes and others use its asphalt roads for recreation and exercise in the morning.

Lake of Ekbatan Dam

It is located in a distance of 11 kilometers east of Hamedan. Its road branched off the Hamedan-Malayer road toward Sangestan.
It was built in order 10 supply 35% of drinking water for Hamedan and agricultural water for 800 hectares of farms down the dam, but features like adjacency to the city. green environment make it a recreational center.
There are fields and gardens along the road from Sangestan and Tafrijan and rivers margins. In addition trees have been planted in about 15 hectares around the dam recently,  trees like Spruce pine, Pine, Acacia and Ash make the whether pleasant. These features encourage people to boating, yachting, and surfing.

Some facilities like a hotel, a restaurant, some cabins and a traditional coffee shop are ready to serve travelers.
